Are you looking for some structured literacy phonics lessons to help your students master r-controlled syllables? PLEASE NOTE: It is VERY important for students to have already mastered r-controlled vowels in 1-syllable words, as well as open, closed, and silent e syllables BEFORE moving on to r-controlled syllables. Students MUST have adequate knowledge of syllable division patterns such as VC/CV, VCC/CV, V/CV VC/V. If you purchased and taught my open syllable, closed syllable, and silent e syllable lessons, you are good to go! These r-controlled syllable lessons will build on what your students have already been taught about syllabication. If not, that’s okay too, just make sure your students have a very clear understanding of the concepts listed above BEFORE teaching these lessons.
