The assessment process doesn’t have to be teacher-centered. Why not get our students involved? It’s their learning we’re monitoring after all. I firmly believe that finding new and innovating ways to include students in the data collection process is one of the BEST ways to increase student autonomy, motivation and engagement! The look on student’s faces when they see their growth and development for the first time, is truly priceless!

Identifying where each of your students are academically can be a very challenging and time consuming task at the beginning of the year! Understanding what each student knows and doesn’t know, is the first (and most important) step in meeting their needs and optimizing the growth and development that takes place in your classroom throughout the year.

These student data folders are CCSS aligned and include a BONUS set of high frequency word flashcards!
